The flames of the nether is a paid DLC for Minecraft Dungeons that was released on Feb 24th, 2021.[1] [ii] [3] [4] It is the fourth DLC in Minecraft Dungeons, the offset DLC located in the Other Dimensions tab, the first DLC to non include the Orb of Dominance, and the showtime to include more than three Locations, with six in total. Showcased at Minecraft Alive 2020, information technology is the second Season Pass DLC afterward Howling Peaks. It is the only DLC without a big boss fight.

Flames of the Nether is based on the Nether dimension in the master game where lava can be institute everywhere. The hero starts at the n of the map, in the nether wastes mission. Nether wart forests can be establish to the due west of information technology where fungi and vines abound wildly. The cyan and mysterious 1 is called the warped forest while the bloody and red one is chosen the crimson woods. A huge volcano lies in the southward made upward of blackstone likewise as large basalt pillars dotting its surface. Snowflake-like particles embrace this region, making information technology identical to the Snowy Tundra.   • A screenshot taken from Minecraft Live 2020 displays a Soul Sand Valley biome, the info_update block, a internal block in Bedrock Edition, can be seen amid the soul sand.
  • In a video posted by the Minecraft Dungeons Twitter account, the Twisting Vine Bow and the Weeping Vine Bow tin can be seen, being the first two new items revealed for the DLC.[vii]
  • There is a statue in the Nether Fortress that depicts the Wildfire, a mob that lost the Mob Vote during MINECON Earth 2017. When this DLC originally came out, the Wildfire was bachelor in the game files simply did not spawn every bit it was not finished in time for the update, only since the Luminous Dark update it has been added and one even spawns every bit office of the deadfall surrounding this statue.

  • There were some noticeable differences in this DLC compared to features from the Minecraft:
    • Piglins and Wither Skeletons do not attack each other.
    • Piglins are not afraid of Soul Burn and Zombified Piglins.
    • Zombified Piglins will attack the hero immediately on sight.
    • Wither Skeletons and Zombified Piglins are not immune to fire.
    • Piglins and Zombified Piglins can be found in the Warped Forest, Basalt Deltas, Soul Sand Valley, and the Under Fortress despite not spawning in those places in the primary Minecraft game.
    • There are no adult Hoglins.
  • Strider sounds tin be heard throughout the Warped Wood mission, similar to the Vultures sounds in the Cacti Coulee.
